Talk about beaches in the Philippines, there’s Palawan, there’s Boracay and there’s far so much more than just overrated, exaggeratedly hyped luxury beaches.
So, what am I going to talk about? If you want Boracay and Palawan on a budget, go Borawan instead.
Borawan is a local budget beach in Padre Burgos, Quezon Province. It’s a 3 hour drive away from the Metro. It’s awesome and it’s cheap!
A long stretch of coarse white sand will tickle your feet! The sand may not be as fine as Boracay and waters may not be as pristine as Palawan but believe me, you’re gonna like this beach. If you’re on a tight budget and is in need of your Vitamin Sea, then this is the beach for you.
Bring your own food, your own powerbank because they do not have electricity 6AM to 6PM. There’s a small store but bring your own food.
My rating? 4 of 5.
Why? Because the place was boring and wasn’t too cozy, I am more of the hotel type beach person and it is something they do not have so I cannot lie down in bed when I am not enjoying the waters. There are cottages, but no rooms.
